  • It’s frustrating when hair growth seems stagnant. Possible Reasons for Slow Growth:
Genetics: Hair growth rate is largely determined by your genes.
Diet: Deficiencies in protein, iron, zinc, biotin, and vitamins A, C, and E can impact hair health.
Hormonal Imbalances: Certain hormonal conditions can affect hair growth.
Stress: High stress levels can contribute to hair shedding.   Scalp Health: Issues like dandruff or scalp infections can hinder growth.  Maybe focus on protein-rich foods (lean meats, fish, beans, nuts), fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Gently massage your scalp daily to improve blood circulation or use a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Consider using a scalp scrub to remove buildup. Hope some of this helps.

  • I have this trouble too where my hair reaches a particular length and just doesn’t grow anymore. I’ve tried all the til tok trends as well has supplements, high protein diet. I don’t seem to have much success with anything unfortunately. The JS Health twblets have helped a small amount.

  • I have never found anything to assist in thickening my hair but am willing to give a go to the New Nordic product advised by one of the ladies on here. She says she has tried it and it has worked for her so I will give this a go and report back if it works for me too.

  • Hello – with maturity my hair seems to have become what I might call THIN. Recently in it might have been That’s Life Magazine there was a full page ad/article about this particular subject. As an aged pensioner I don’t have extra $$ 4 what I call luxuries. Anyway the product mentioned is called Hair Volume by New Nordic 30 tablets – herbal supplement – I found on eBay for $44.90 free postage from NaturesBasketOrganics – I am not usually one to rave about products but this particular supplement really seems to be helping my hair to thicken up again – in my earlier years my hair was always my pride & joy – I am looking forward to once more my hair becomes lustrous & gorgeous! I used Afterpay to easily pay the product off over 2 months.

  • A GP and a hair loss professional and any other professional that focuses on hair loss should hopefully be able to provide knowledge and supports with this issue. It is always so important to go to reputable professionals to get the supports needed to manage issues such as hair loss.

  • This problem affected me too, and my hairdresser advised me to avoid washing my hair every day. When oiliness occurs, brushing from the roots down can facilitate growth, as I have discovered. Moreover, trimming dead ends is advantageous. My hair is now down my butt and I love it and hate it !

  • I also had this problem my hair dresser advised not to wash my hair everyday, when it gets oily brush from the roots down, this will promote growth, it certainly helped for me! Also trim dead ends

  • Maybe you have a deficiency somewhere that could be causing a problem with growth. For me when I’m low on iron my hair tends to grow really slow and break easily. Also I find that trimming hair regularly can promote growth and thickness really well, those dead ends need to come off.

  • I wonder if you have seen a hair specialist about whether there could be some underlying issues that you aren’t aware of. I would do some research and seek out professional medical advice from an expert who deals with hair loss as they might be able to support you and provide guidance on what you could do.

  • It is always a good idea to get a professional medical opinion on this kind of issue. Hair not growing can be due to a number of factors and it is best to get a medical opinion. A medical professional should be able to provide information and supports with this issue.

  • If your hair isn’t growing and remains short, consider factors like diet, hair care practices, and potential underlying health issues, and try implementing changes like: eating a balanced diet rich in protein and vitamins, avoiding harsh hair treatments and tight hairstyles, regularly getting trims to remove split ends, gently detangling your hair, and massaging your scalp to stimulate circulation; if the issue persists, consult a healthcare professional to rule out any medical causes.

  • I have never heard of this before so I can’t help. I would definitely be getting a medical opinion to find the correct area to help you. It may be a dietician or some other professional. Good luck. I hope there is help out there for you. Scalp massages may help?

  • That is a bit odd and could be to do with your diet or other health related concerns. I think it’s worth paying a visit to your local GP and get it checked out. That would be the ideal solution and can help you out. Goodluck hope it all works out!

  • How is your diet? Is it rich in protein and iron? When you wash your hair, massage it with oils to stimulate blood circulation. Exfoliate occasionally to remove dead skin cells.

  • Yeah, I’d be in favour of a visit to the GP. I don’t know how this could happen.

  • Maybe go to the GP and enquire. I’ve never heard of any growth and no haircuts, maybe you need to boost your nutrition. Hope they can help.
