It’s a big zoo and we spent a long day there. I don’t think it’s worth going for two days only because it’s very, very expensive. Take a packed lunch because the food prices are through the roof as well

I can’t really offer advice I’m here for the comments as this is one place I’ve always wanted to go, so thanks for asking the question. I was a huge Steve Irwin fan and love how much they do for the animals and conservation etc. Its definitely on my bucket list.

No I haven’t, but I’ve heard it’s a great zoo ! It’s rather dear though, $61 for an adult and $37 per child. When you have a bigger family this really counts up.

We went a lot of years ago. I think that Bindi turned 13 in those days. 5 years ago thus, because Bindi just turned 18.
Personally, we loved it. We went to the Sunshine Coast for 4 days I think, and went to the zoo just one entire day. There were so many interesting shows. And we loved visiting the Wildlife hospital. They were treating an echidna when we went in. We loved the crocodile show. It was also very moving because on the big screen appeared an old video where Steve Irwin was wishing a wonderful day at the zoo.
It was quite busy that time of the year (July school holidays) so maybe, if possible, I would try to go in a quieter time, to enjoy the experience better.
The Irwin family is taking extremely good care of that zoo, you can see the animals are happy! And the zoo is really welcoming!
