  • Yes, I’ve regifted at Christmas a couple of times, but I always make sure it’s something thoughtful and appropriate for the person I’m giving it to. For example, if I receive a lovely candle or a bottle of wine I don’t use, I’ll pass it along to someone who would genuinely enjoy it. I think as long as it’s done thoughtfully and not just to offload something, it can actually be a practical and sustainable way to handle gifts!

  • Yes 100%. I’m not one who likes hoarding and holding onto things I won’t use. I’m happy to regift something if I know someone else will love it.

  • Yes – mostly chocolates

  • Yes. i don’t think there is anything wrong with it, if its suitable for the person you are gifting to. For example – my hubby and i don’t drink……. but we get gifted alcohol all the time, so we just re gift it, because we aren’t going to drink it, and most of my friends drink.

  • It depends what it is. Bottles of wine, bath creams etc sure – but something like a piece of jewellery – no.

  • Absolutely you get so many bottles of wine and boxes of chocolates at Christmas. I reward some in case someone unexpectedly arrives with a gift

  • Yes I do sometimes if I know that iam not going to use it

  • I do re-gift sometimes. ON occasion we have received duplicate gifts or something the kids would not use and we know others would love so didn’t want to go to waste.

  • No l haven’t as yet!

  • Yes, but only if the original gift was wildly off the mark, so far off that it felt like a re-gift or last minuite scrounge in the first place! and then only if it is suitable!

  • Yes but not often and usually small items. I received some bath products as a work secret santa….I knew I wouldn’t use them so I regifted those as part of my sisters present….she loved the stuff, but I had also bought her another present to go with them.

  • yes, although I am alway careful that the person who gave it to me doesn’t know the person I have given it too.

  • Yes, just make sure the person you re-gift too has no connection to the person who gave it too you. I think it is better than wasting it.

  • Yes I regift chocolates all the time

  • Yes sometimes

  • i will be this year! and it helps that the people don’t know each other. they are good items I just wont use them

  • Yes I’ve been given doubles and haven’t been able to return for the girls so I gift others.

  • Definitely!
If not people only get crafty things my children make for them, or some choccies, chrissy isnt about the gift or $$ spent, we dont see alot of family until chrissy holidays so we are all presents to each other ????????

  • I’ve never regifted at Xmas, although my sister did. Gave my sister some bath towels one Xmas and she straight away gave them to our mother

  • Yes – I make sure though that the gift is going to people not in the same circle…(made the mistake once and it was a little embarrassing)…unfortunately not everyone knows your likes and dislikes and I prefer to not waste. Another option is donating to charity or making it part of a prize hamper for an event etc
