  • It is so annoying, but all kids do this.

  • I would go for a onesie to reduce access

  • Perhaps its time for toilet training then? Will help solve the issue.

  • It’s time to move on to toilet training :)

  • I think the onesie is the way to go too.

  • Can you put a onesie on her so she can’t get her hand down there?

  • Not easy times :) but all worth it!

  • lol whip out that potty! she is just curious and probably doesn’t like it being in there as she is making the mental connection of the “feeling” of needing to poo and the “result”.

  • Lol its gross, but a sign she is ready for toilet training. A Potty and some big girl pull ups or undies, good luck :)

  • Hi Kels, I know you have posted a resent up date, but I just want to add that I think onesies would be helpful also. Hope you are having better success and maybe once summer hits potty training may be more enjoyable. All the very best of wishes to you all.

  • oh dear good luck with that

  • Toilet training time

  • Thanks all – this was for me.

Daughter is just over 2 years old and speech is limited at the moment.
We think she understands the words “wee” “poo” “potty” or at least just says ess (yes) but will not sit on it for long enough – enough if we have her in front of the tv with her favourite show.
Tried around similar times during the day that she goes but its been unsuccessful.
For now we have short onesies on her underneath her clothes to hope for the best until she shows more attention for potty training.

  • Also, invest in clothing that is difficult for your little one to access!

  • Time to invest in some toileting strategies.

  • I do think you must go with the body suit buy leotards cheap from Best and less two or three and use them over the nappy can double as a singlet as well. It is potty training time. Take her shopping for new undies.

  • My boys did it for a few months at differents stages, i think with my kids i stopped making it a issues and it soon passed, I also hated the extra claening that went with it as they also wiped it on the walls before i noticed and i had to run around every day to check all the walls for poo paintings before guests came over. I think they did it as they were uncomfortable and wanted to see what was causing it. I also took a note of wwhat time of day it was done. and checked a lot around that time. My kids started going about the same time give or take a hour every day. It got to a stage i started to toilet trian and i sat my boys on the potty infront of the tv for around half a hour at a time. then when i put the nappy on again they would do the poo straight away. they would pee in the potty but not poo. But i was able to have some control over when they did it. It took a while for them to relax train with the potty poos.

  • oh jeepers – maybe she is ready for training pants love – she will soon hate the feel I would imagine. Good luck

  • Unfortunately in my case of having 3 children everyone of them painted their cot and the wall with their excrement. They all did outgrow it and I seem to remember putting the nappy on firmer.

  • Don’t worry your not the first mum to have a child play with poo! We think its yucky but they don’t. If your little girl goes a poo at a regular time maybe you could try start placing her on the potty. One other advice I would give, is not to get cross otherwise she may not want to perform on the potty for you when she is ready. Good luck!
