Holiday to Gold Coast - Mouths of Mums

Hello!

I am taking my daughter to the gold coast in March and would love some ideas of fun things to do. Has anyone recently been there and have some suggestions of places to visit or things to do with a 7 year old. I will do some research on the internet but would love to hear from other mums of things they have done and really enjoyed.

  • There are quite some theme park at the God Coast which are a lovely activity for a seven year old child `and yourself 😉 Dream world for example is a must do. You can get combination packages for a relative good price. A Movie World, Sea World, & Wet’n’Wild 5-Day Pass for example is $179 for a 5 day pass ! We also like visting zoo’s, which is nice for young and old.

  • Currumbin Bird Park would be great for a 7 year old! There is also Fleas which has a pretty decent variety of Aussie animals also. I went last year and my kids both LOVED GC Aqua Park, which is an inflatable water park that is great for kids and adults. They have a section for younger kids too if she is not confident on some of the bigger stuff. Sea World, Wet N Wild and Movie World would also be fun and you could get a 3 park pass for that. I do prefer Dreamworld, but an older child would probably get more out of it. Ripleys Believe it or Not is also quite fun and interesting too.
We also enjoyed a night market at Surfers Paradise, which I believe is every Saturday night, but you would need to double check.

  • I took my son to Movie World and he absolutely loved it — there were lots of kid-friendly rides and shows, and it was easy to spend a whole day there.

  • There is always a wealth of fun things and activities to do at the Gold Coast. Of course the most obvious activity is the number of theme Parks to visit which can be appealing for both, children and adults. It is always a good idea to check out their sites for any possible deals.
