How can I get mascara out of the carpet?

Children and makeup, I tried steam cleaning and vinegar although white vinegar works good the stain remains

I too have a carpet steam cleaner. When I first bought it, I was told some stains would need repeat treatments. This could be your issue. Keep trying with the steam

Pulman Stain Remover is available from Godfreys and is not too badly priced. Have you tried shampooing your carpet? I have leant my Bissell to quite a few friends and the feedback has been amazing. I have gotten many stains out through first using Pulmans or another type of stain remover and then shampooing.

Try nail polish remover or eye make up remover – good luck!

Try using make up remover on a cotton ball, and let it soak into the mascara stain for a bit and then scrub.
