When we lived in Sydney we didn’t have aircon either and I had a fan in the bedrooms. I would do a sleeveless onesie without legs and no blankets or sheets.

yeah i have heard of using wet sheets and towels and only dress baby in a nappy.

I lived in Nth QLD for my oldest children with no fans or A/c so it was put the cot in a postilion to take care of any breeze even if that meant sleeping outside with mosquito nets. They were dressed in a singlet and nappy at night. My oldest child had a problem with regulating his body temp s during the day it was more of changing sheets then clothing, yes nappy free on the verandah.
The younger ones live here in Perth area and a wet muslin wrap either on the crib side or in front of a fan worked for them. As we do not have a sheet on us do not for them either but dressed in nappy and a singlet. a singlet helps soak up the extra moisture. Also a hot water bottle with crush ice in a towel in the cot helps sometimes.

Agree wet sheets and fan life saver! Cool bath before bed. Cool wipe down if needed. Cool cotton sheets and or wrap. The love or swaddle do an air flex bamboo wrap that circulates air and is great

A fan circulating the air in baby’s room is better than nothing. Can you put some extra cotton bedding between baby and the mattress. The mattresses have foam in them which hold body heat. Babies get very hot if they can’t move onto a cooler surface. Is your baby old enough to manage a bottle himself if he wakes up. He will need plenty of fluids or he will dehydrate.

It’s really heard, hey?! I agree with the other poster about using wet sheets and the fan. We also put a mattress in the coolest room in the house to sleep on during the worst nights, and dress bub only in a nappy. We have water to sip on through the night and a wet facecloth to cool bub down. Good luck.

Drape wet sheets over the sides of the crib and have a fan blow on them into the crib, it will cool down considerably. I did this before I had air conditioning. Fans work well in humidity as they drying of the moist air causes cooling if it is dry heat you can create the moisture with the wet sheets and also have buckets of water on the floor near the crib.
