  • I didn’t know that coke stained glasses. I’ve seen coke used as a cleaning agent before.

  • I always first try bicarb & vinegar, when that doesn’t work I often have success with a bit of Nappisan and boiled water and I always have Steradent at home for dirty pots, pans, cup and glasses as another option.

  • never had this issue, but coke is caustic and removes rust so maybe more coke… or bicarb

  • I’ve never come across coke stains in a glass…but coke imagine coke itself would help remove it…it helps remove rust and stained toilet bowls

  • I have always used a Steradent tablet it does the trick and leaves the glasses nice and clean and sparkling!

  • Make a paste of bicarbonate soda and water, apply to stains, leave for a while. Add a small amount of white vinegar to the glasses and top up,with hot water. Leave to soak

  • Thanks for all your wonderful answers,a huge help!

  • I use citric acid in the steriliser and kettle, maybe try that wiht boiling water?

  • I guess this would be like a coffee stain in a coffee mug.. I agree bi carb soda mixed with water and let it sit overnight.. the wash out cup/ or mug.. If that doesnt work the only other thing i can think of is to fill the cup with white king and leave sit for a hour or so.. But keep well out of reach of children. And wash a few times in hot bubbly water.. before use..

  • Did you try white vinegar with baking soda ?

  • I’ve never had any issues with coke staining glasses of mine before, always washed out perfectly with dishwashing liquid. Will follow this post.

  • Hope some of the suggestions helped with the staining?

  • put some bicarb soda and water in it and let it sit

  • Make a paste with bicarb soda and vinegar. Use a scourer to rub off stains
