  • I like living a very simple life, being connected to family and friends and my community.

  • Living in the moment

  • This is a very good question and I’m not sure I have a good answer. All I want to enjoy my life with my family and friends and not do any harm to others.

  • INteresting questions! Wow.. thanks for getting us thinking….What do I do to make life meaningful? I think perspective is important. I’ll probably never get public recognition for anything (although that would sort of ‘validate’ meaning/achievement) but I like to remind myself how important the little things are – like paying a bill on time, or getting the children to school, or being good to a stranger. So I sometimes imagine the consequences if all those ‘little things’ weren’t done. Then I realize that they are important and the world changed a little bit because of me. So instead of feeling trapped in a meaningless existence, i.e. doing nothing ‘important’, I like to think how the small things do have lots of meaning to people around me (whether they/I realize it or not!). I guess it locates my sense/definition of ‘meaning’ in being connected and a part of humanity; and gaining perspective of this when lost helps make life meaningful. (I think being a part of humanity is important in my meaning because that is both related to my identity and is an absolute truth that nothing can change; it defines my place in the universe.. I don’t have to be anything other than what I am and in that is my purpose and destiny and meaning).

  • A meaningful life is also discovering your purpose in life and the journey is the fun part of the discovery.

  • A meaningful life is so individual for everyone. Important to me is balance in all things in life. Taking care of all responsibilities, family, community and individually and looking for new challenges and experiences too. Finding ways to engage and give back is important to me.

  • My definition of a meaningful life is to not hurt anyone else, be kind where you can, be happy. You don’t need a high paying job, expensive car, big bank balance etc to have a meaningful life
