When arriving in a differnt time zone with lack of sleep, do not make the mistake of going to sleep during the day. Rather go on time to bed. When not able to sleep during the night a low dose of Melatonin may help (I order it at iHerb)
I have travelled quite a lot for work and been lucky to do a bit of travel for leisure too. My work flights could be a challenge with not much sleep the night before the flight and difficulty sleeping on the flight and time differences. If it is daytime on arrival at destination stay up and do what you can, have an early night but don’t sleep on arrival. This has helped me get into the swing of things much faster. I would go straight to work from airport ( not by choice) and this did get me into a good routine from day 1. I try not to eat the salty snacks on the plane and keep drinking plenty of water.
