  • I’ve used Seventh Generation, Laundry Detergent, Free & Clear and think it’s quite good. When you like to go totally natural I would suggest to try soap nuts !

  • I always use detergent that is for sensitive skin. Cold power and omo have two that are good. Wait for them to go on special to stock up. Good luck.

  • There’s lots of sensitive skin detergents on the market. Try them out and find what works best for you

  • Good old Lux Flakes we were told to wash our baby clothes in the 70’s & I have always gone back to using them over the years when I’ve had sensitive skin issues.

  • I have dry sensitive skin and generally its best not get any detergents or any harsh chemicals on your skin/hands. Best thing to do is wear rubber gloves when you wash dishes. laundry etc.. and then your skin is protected . There are some detergents for sensitive skin but I heard they are not as effective than normal detergents. Give it a try and you will find out .

  • I use the Eco Sensitive liquid detergent that periodically becomes available at Aldi. I stock up big because it is one of the few that I don’t react to. I go to liquids, rather than powders, and err towards ones that have low or no fragrance. At times when things have been really bad for everyone (with random changes to city water supply) I use a thing called soap nuts. They are a fruit from a tree that grows in India that contains naturally occurring saponins.

  • Try Woolwash but check the ingredients of each brand if you know what is your irritant

  • I’m a huge fan of Omo Sensitive, it washes the clothes well and doesn’t irritate our skin. I also use Cold Power Sensitive if it is on special and I’ve run out of Omo.

  • OH and bub suffer from Eczema and Sensitive Skin and I only suffer the Sensitive Skin and I use Cold Power Sensitive Washing liquid with Almond Milk for my sensitive skin family. We also put it through an extra rinse cycle to make sure all the soap is out of the clothing. For bubs clothes we add Cuddly Sensitive Skin fabric softener too.

  • Also; maybe get some advice from a chemist or a GP when you next see them – they often surprise you with good suggestions too.

  • Soap nuts are great for natural organic chemical free washing, cleaning and body care !

  • Try and find a hypo allergenic one that suits your skin type. Maybe try a small sample first and see what works – it varies for different skin types.

  • Aware Environmental have a wonderful range of sensitive cleaning products from laundry powder and liquid, through to bathroom and surface cleaner. All low allergy, high performing, and Australian made.

  • My daughters skin is quite sensitive,so we use products that are gentle,eg. the Earth brand.I also wash her clothes separate to the rest of the family.Use products without the fragrance.Sometimes I use Lux Flakes too.Hang to dry in the sun,use the steam setting on the iron and not use a aerosol ironing aid.For a natural brightener, use a splash of vinegar and bicarb into the wash.

  • I would run the clothes through an extra rinse cycle to ensure all soap powder is off the clothing.

  • I used hypo allergenic laundry detergent for sensitive skin fir my kids
