Forum How long did your postpartum bleeding last?

My baby is 9 and a half weeks old and I am still bleeding. I had it for 2 weeks as normal then stopped for 2 weeks and has been going again for the last 5 weeks. It is extremely light, like nothing shows up on a pad but there is blood there when I wipe. Is this normal to still be bleeding almost 10 weeks on or should I book myself a drs appointment?

  • Can be super light for aggggggges after a normal birth.

  • About 4 weeks and then got a period. Both v births

  • No its not normal visit your GP as soon as possible i have one csec and one normal delivery but my bleeding was not too long as yours

  • Mine was about 6 weeks. If you’re concerned, just call the dr and ask because it’s better to be safe than sorry.

  • It is different for everyone. Honestly, I stopped bleeding after a week with baby 1 and light bleeding for 2 weeks with baby 2. But if you are concerned talk to your Dr about it.

  • I bled for 7 weeks, it finally stopped for a few days then got my first period and that lasted 2 weeks. Its different for everyone.
