  • I just clean on the go where I have space to do it

  • I tend to make sure the cleaning is done in the afternoon and before bed so when I wake up I’m not looking at mess.

  • I make a list once a week of chores that need to be done and I break them down into things that can be done daily, weekly and monthly. Then normally while the kids are eating breakfasy, I’ll wash dishes or vaccum, or fold washing etc.

  • It used to take me no time at all! Now I have a 3 month old and a 3 year old and I’m struggling to get into a good routine. It feels like I’m constantly either breastfeeding one, preparing food for the other or trying to set up an activity for the older one while I get the younger one down for a sleep. The all i have time to do is catch up on dishes and laundry. I’d love to know how other people manage, I feel like I’m drowning

  • Setting up a schedule for chores can be so helpful.

  • I don’t don’t to much in the morning. Dishes are left to do all at once after dinner. I meal prep tho so not too many to Dias no pits or pans

  • Household chores are scheduled for different times during the day/week. We block all chores and keep them within a 30 – 60 minute timeframe.

  • Depends how early I get up before having to leave for the school run and work. Varies each day!

  • Mine depends on how many bottles my kids have throughout the night which creates more washing.
Then how much my kids dirty their clothes enough that I have to change them multiple times.
After that it’s the cooking and depending on the recipe I choose will again impact my time.
After that it’s things like washing the pots and pans, putting clothes and toys away and vacuuming.
    It next ends!

  • About an hour general tidying up including dishwasher, kitchen, make beds etc.

  • I feel like it takes forever, but I think it is because I try to work around the little ones and therefore do spurts throughout the day. The kitchen, no matter how clean the night before, looks like a mess after breakfast, so that needs to be done, plus I try to get at least one load of washing done before 9. (just on, not out). Vacuuming needs to be done every two days (we use a robot vacuum on alternate days) and I would LOVE to get some time in for bathroom cleaning but folding and putting away usually takes precedence.

  • I just do a little everyday so it does not just pile up and then I think to myself how am I going to tackle all this

  • Other than doing the dishes and wiping the kitchen and counters, I don’t do so much in the morning. It’s more a process throughout the day & week

  • Thanks for your answers.l spend under an hour just cleaning, vacuuming, making the bed, washing and tidying up!

  • Depends on what you’re cleaning. Might need to give more details in your question.

  • I will spend at least two hours each morning either washing, cleaning, tidying, dusting, moping, gardening etc. There’s always lots to do.

  • Usually takes me an hour or so (with a toddler) to do dishes, vacuum, and a quick tidy and maybe a load of washing.

  • It all depends on what your doing how big the area is and how many rooms you want to tackle. I tend to run around with the vacuum once or twice a week and mop the bathrooms every week. The kitchen takes about 15 minutes to put away breakfast and wash-up. Washing clothes every other day, and clean out the fridge every second week, I look for out of date stuff in the pantry as well. The list goes on.. so just do what you can in a day. There are really no time limits. It’s a home and it’s yours to do as you can.

  • I guess the answer depends on how much and on what you do. I have one big session (2.5 hours) per week and probably around an hour on other days.
