Every hospital is different – I had 2. My partner and my sister-in-law. She was more of a help to me than he was, he ended up fainting halfway through my delivery lol

Do not know,but check with hospital it is true. Great idea as took young mums when working with them to view. Was not available when my kids were born, great idea as you can move about too, if as I did you want too do. Hubby if available and willing too go,Mum or a good friend would also be worth a go.. To many would be a distraction for you,too much advice might be flowing around and it is a very special time believe me… So happy birthday in advance to your child to be.

I had my partner, a student midwife for a few hours and then the actual midwife. As I was induced on a drip I was pretty much constantly monitored so there was always one of them there.

2 of your choice -hubby, mum etc

I think the general rule is 2 people for most hospitals but I would check.

I had my husband, my mum, a trainee midwife and a qualified midwife. The Dr came in towards the end.

Definitely check with your hospital policy but I am only planning on having my husband in there – with midwives & doctors checking on you all the time, It will be ‘nice’ to just spend the time together.

I had my husband, I’d say realistically probably 2 people. It was really busy with drs, midwives and my hubby and I. I don’t think it’s something to have a crowd of people as it could be over 12 hours for labour. Anyone can visit after the birth in your room.

I just had 2. Midwife and husband- that was enough, i was supposed to have my mum as well but 10 hours in we were coping fine and i didn’t feel like adding someone else to the mix.

It can get a little crowded in there. I only had my husband with me, but staff included the obstetrition , midwife nurse, specialist for another medical condition I had, so it depends in your situation. I found it was a lot of coming and going of different people which is distracting and tiring.

I was allowed 3 in with me. My husband, mother & sister were there for the delivery of my son. However if I had to have a c-section I was told I could only have one person in with me. I hope that helps you.

It varies between hospitals, but they usually encourage you to keep the number small. I certainly wouldn’t have wanted a crowd.

All hospitals differ on their policy, so the best person to ask if your midwife. Normally though it’s no more than 2 support people in most hospitals.

Depends on the hospital I started with just my mum and 2 nurses ended up with 3 students 2 nurses, my gp and my mum. Prefer Invited guests

Thank you. I think it’s at least two, but I was wondering if they’d turn a third person away? I’m probably getting ahead of myself though, who knows, I may not want anyone in there when it comes down to the crunch. Haha. Thanks ladies

It very much depends on the hospital but i think they like to keep it as few as possible.
I only ever had my husband so it was never a concern for me.

I was allowed 2 however my husband and all staff was enough for me 6 in total.

I believe my hospital preferred only 2 however my husband and I chose to keep this special moment between the 2 of us and I’m so glad I did. He was amazing throughout the labour and we had some beautiful bonding time during and most importantly after our baby girl was born ♡
