I go 6 days a week (stay at home mum but i go after hours 5 days a week, and once during the day). I do three group classes: Boxing, RPM and Tummy Hips and Thighs. On the other days I do either swimming or work on the program my trainer has set up.
i used to go 3 times a week and do HIIT training and I felt amazing when watching my diet etc, anyway I stopped going almost two months ago and joined the gym, Im less Inclined to go and more inclined to eat…I still try to go twice a week but find all i do is Aqua at the moment twice a week or I do a Tone class and Aqua, if I have time I do a little treadmill and step plus weights for my back. I tend to have many Injuries caused by years of non use of my body but Im getting stronger. Im still overweight and comfort eating but Lifetime habits are hard to break also.
I make sure I workout 4-6 times a week. I try to mix it up a bit. Always a 5 km run on Saturday morning (Parkrun) and walk, cycle, floor work throughout the week. Last weekend we went to a Master’s athletic day and did a run too. So Saturday’s will now be filled with a couple of runs. On occasion we go to base camp obstacle gym as a family, which is lots of fun or enter a trail run. Our family is quite sporty. I struggle to keep up with them.
As hard as it is to take care of 3 children who are all under the age of three, and keep a clean house and work part time I PUSH myself to walk on the treadmill everyday for an hour at a moderate pace. Even if it means 3 intervals of 20 mins throughout the day. I have PCOS and gain weight sooo quickly, so I need to stay ontop of it.
I walk with my dog every morning for around half an hour (more during the weekend). I walk everywhere (I don’t drive) and I always at least 10,000 steps a day. My Garmin Vivofit really keeps me motivated. If late in the afternoon I see that I didn’t reach the 10,000 steps , I do some steps while watching “Today Tonight”.
A typical day for me starts with a 40 min jog/walk. Then I walk my dogs for over an hour. Then I do a yoga or a WII workout for 30-40 mins. I watch what I eat, do all that, and I’m still over weight. Pretty depressing
