  • Routine is key. Finding motivation is hard. But like any other habit, if you get yourself into a routine, or regular exercise it becomes way easier. To start off perhaps take them for a short walk, then once they are able to ride you could either ride or jog with them. Good luck.

  • I don’t specifically work out but am a very active person. Many activities in and around the house is a work out; running after my 6yr old who is an escapist, digging in the garden cutting the trees, mopping the floors, carrying groceries inside and lift them up high whilst you caryy them, walking the stairs like 20x a day, dancing or playing tip with the kids and whilst I’m cooking or wait for the kettle to boil then I’m often do some exercizes by the counter :)

  • I also do exercise that is fun as that is the way to enjoy exercise and get all of the family involved.

  • Put on your favourite music and while you are doing your chores e.t.c dance, dance, dance. You don’t need to do organized workouts, just keep moving. Dance is the best form of exercise, because you move most parts of your body and you enjoy doing it. Your children will love the music also and they will dance as well. Music is also great when you are depressed. Don’t think about it when you get up, just do it like boiling the jug. love to all Lyn.

  • I take my son for a walk in the morning or arvo for about 30-45mins most days. Other than that I don’t do any exercise

  • You can either get up before the kids and do your workout then or I get the kids breakfast then do a workout while they eat, when they are finished they often come join me. I like this best as they get to see me training and doing it too – learn that its normal to be fit and active.
Walking to and from places is good too, running in the back yard, playing games, are all forms of exercise.
I also joined a mummy netball league – they have a creche there for the kids and I get and hour or so to myself to exercise. And again, the kids learn about being healthy and fit.

  • I try to get up 30 minutes before the rest of the family and either go for a walk or do a boxing session. My our favourite way to work out is by dancing around the living room with the kids!

  • I find lots of incidental exercise – like walking places – is best.

  • I exercise every day for my health and well being.

  • I was trying to exercise for 40 minutes every day by going for a walk but unfortunately I got to busy and stopped. Looking at getting back into it however.

  • We walk to and from kinder 3 days a week and I try to add in an extra lap of the block when the weather (and the 2 year old) allows.

  • I’m thinking two youngens is a workout in it’s self but workouts do not have to be expensive or require a trip to the gym. Taking the children for a walk to the park, skipping in the backyard, hula hooping, do exercises at home on the floor (your children can mimic you …it will be fun) . ALL the very best to you.

  • I walk every day with my dog for around half an hour. During the weekend 45-50 minutes. I always find the time, rain or shine.
