My youngest has a diary intolerance. I’ve tried sveral different milk but she wouldn’t drink milk just by itself. Maybe if you offer it together with wheetbix ? Alternatively I would try a vegan yoghurt, vegan cheese, vegan haloumi, etc. We have settled on coconut milk to add to wheetbix and for the rest I use coconut milk in pancakes and things like that. I also used it to soak a slice of bread in coconut, sprinkle it with cinnamon, fry it up and spread honey on top (easy and yum)

I breastfed my 20months exclusively until he was a bit over 12months, then we found out we’re expecting no 2. So my GP suggested that I stopped breastfeeding him as that would not be good for the fetus. I tried giving him fresh milk, cold or warm, mix with cereal, giving him yogurt or cheese, none is working. When we had his 12 months appointment with the midwife, I raise this problem and the midwife told me that as long as he has enough food that has calcium in it, it should be fine, he doesn’t need milk. We gave him tofu, eggs, and lots of veggies, and also calcium supplement (Pentavite).

Have you tried goats milk formula at all? I know a Mum who had to swap her baby to that. However I have to warn you that it can be difficult to buy at times. Sometimes there is restrictions on the amount that you can buy. You may need to try more than one supermarket or pharmacy to get it. I know a Mum who lived in Qld. When there was a shortage she rang a few places to see if they had any.
The closest place she was able to get some was an hour drive each way.
