I hope you have been able to find work you enjoy. I think it’s hard to suggest what work people can do as we all have different interests and need different stimulation. An example being that I am quite good using word and other programs, but would never consider a job in this until I am physically unable to perform strenuous tasks.

This day and age, I believe a thing called Parents Next is a great go to for help getting back into the workforce. My greatest niece just got a job through them. She didn’t finish high school, didn’t have good grades for the time she did spend at school, had no job experience as she had a baby age 16 and again age 18, so she’s been a stay at home mum for nearly five years. She now works casually in a furniture store similar to Harvey Norman

If you go to your local tafe or uni they will have a careers councilor who will be able to help.

You need to look at what you want to be doing so you have an indication of what sort of courses you should study

What are your interests? If you like cooking you could do a cooking course or a bartending course? If you are just looking for extra cash you could try supermarkets or retail? (Like target or Kmart) good luck!!

you may be able to register with a job services australia agency and they may be able to assist with helping you find work and paying for training. go to Centrelink and ask to register as a job seeker. Another avenue is there is courses for nursing and disabilities where you do a free course and then they give you casual work at the end – this is due to the increase in need for support workers. The TAFE and universities also have career advisers to assist with choosing courses etc

it does really depend on what area you are looking to get into yourself

it depends on what your looking for, if admin bores you, why not try a nail course or something in makeup and see if you can go somewhere with that

look at some courses that you might be interested about to get you started

I work in recruitment and courses. . . . . . . blah . . . . Unless it is job pacific, save you time and money. You say Admin bores you. . . . . Really doesnt sound like you want a job.
Apply for everything and everything that interest you, that way you will get your confidence up from experience with interviews.

Look through all the courses that are available. There might be something that jumps out or gives you an idea?

You can do tests online and it tells you what Carers you would be best at.
Maybe just doing a cert 3 in retail may help.
