  • I just tell my 2 year old “Right now we are doing the shopping and I need you to stay in the pram. The sooner we are finished here, the sooner we can go and play” He also thinks shopping is a treat because he gets to eat a banana while I shop. I have never had an issue. I recommend having a shopping list so you can get everything you need and not take too long.

  • I would give your child a toy that she loves and sit her up so that she can see her surroundings.

  • I’ve never come across this issue before. All my kids loved being in the pram. They never cried unless they were hungry or needed a nappy change

  • I would love to know too. I have the same issue right now

  • Get a couple of small toys to attach to the pram. Try to point interesting things out to her as you go.

  • If possible – don’t take them. If they are old enough, get them to help find things. Talk with them. Give them a list to mark off – If they can’t read you could draw or cut and paste pictures of the items. Make it a game. eg. Get them to count how many steps until they get to the end of the aisle.

  • If you find the answer to this, let me know! My son used to be ok in the pram, but now at 22 months he is just wanting to get out and run around. Shopping now is a nightmare lol I do find though that something like sultanas or some cheerios in a little container keeps him busy for a bit longer

  • Try a toy on the side or some to eat. I need to keep moving or I get given the hurry up but a drink or food can buy me some time and the toy used to work.
