Bug bomb the house every few months.

I live on a property and have this issue too I find removing them as soon as I find them helps but don’t think I’ll ever get rid of them all

We have a few dandy long legs that keep the other spiders and bugs away.

You could get your house sprayed
If they are just house spiders they won’t hurt bubs
There are certain plants that are meant to keep spiders away as well

Had small spiders today and just sprayed them with Raid.

We use a spider spray from Bunnings- only have to use it every 6 months I think- and it works well

Keep your house clean and whenever you see cobwebs remove them immediately and try to find the spider and kill it either with a spray or slipper. The faster you get rid of them the better.

We keep our home clean and clutter free which means less hiding places for spiders.

I use some tea tree oil and spray that around the house on the brick work and wood work outside as I was told spiders hate this. I have not had a spider web or spider in months. I also wipe my clothes-line down with a rag with tea tree oil and again no spiders or webs!

Pest spray / surface spray – there are lots of different ones availible – you can DIY or hire an expert! We used to get our house sprayed at our old place as there were a lot of red backs when we first moved in – thankfully our new place doesn’t have any (that we see or know of!)

Enquire about a pest specialist it’s safer option then home sprays

Make sure you don’t leave shoes outside as a spider can go in and bite you. You can buy a space for the surfaces so spray along the backdoor also the entry wipe all webs down spray all around the outside of windows also inside spray as well and redo if you see a spider.

Critters don’t like super clean homes; ensure all floors are cleaned regularly, especially in corners; wash floors with disinfectant weekly; wipe down blinds and clean window sills; once all done, spray with a low grade insect repellant. If this is done on a regular basis, the spiders and bugs should stay away.

We back onto a creek so get every single bug you can think of.
I have one of those automatic bug sprayers in the kitchen to keep the flies and mozzies out but in terms of spiders we usually just spray them when we see them but in summer we bomb each room to make sure we get everything because of the baby!

We do not fumigate and just relocate any spiders to outside homes!

I really hate killing spiders as I feel they play an important role in our ecosystem and are actually great at keeping bugs down. Rather than kill them we like to discourage them by keeping the place clean to reduce other bugs that might attract spiders, be mindful of keeping lights off when you don’t need them to reduce the amount of insects you attract and keeping the yard clean and free from any little bits of debris that they might like to hide in.

Longer term, if you can attract birds to your area through some Australian Native planting, they might also pick off a few.

Most importantly, teach your kids what to do if they do see a spider. Remind them that spiders mean us no harm and, if you see one, don’t touch it and get an adult to safely remove it.

But try not kill them. Ask yourself, how many people do you know who have actually been bitten by a spider? And if you know someone who was, how bad was it? Are they ok now? Hopefully this will placate any fears you have.

Use an indoor spray to kill them all and then keep on top of it daily until they stop appearing.

We get the house professionally fumigated once a year. That’s very effective, and safe.

We spray outside twice a year for insects around the house and shed, also inside twice a year so we don’t get bugs in the house at all, seems to work well
