I just plan my routes without tolls via Google Maps

These days you can usually either pay within three days (using a web site), or register online for a temporary account in advance.

Those toll ways in Victoria are ridiculous. It’s a $60 return trip from my sons to get me from Tullamarine, and there’s no avoiding it

The alternative routes can also be interesting as they divert from the main roads.

I use the GPS to avoid toll ways and use alternative routes – but sometimes they have to be used.

How do you manage toll ways? If you have to get somewhere, you often have no choice. My son lives just over an hour from Tullamarine and pays $60 in tolls to get to and from the airport.
