Hello!

Been planning for a trip somewhere where I only have myself. I wanted to eat, relax and read books that has been gathering dust in my boolshelf.

  • Exploring an unfamiliar location independently can be a rewarding means of self-reflection and inner discovery. When selecting a destination, opting for regions with fewer large tourist groups doesn’t necessarily mean limiting yourself to NSW. You could also consider venturing abroad to places that attract smaller numbers of international visitors. To properly plan your itinerary, budget, accommodations and transport before embarking, I found this article which you might find useful whichever place you decide to visit: https://gowithguide.com/blog/how-to-plan-a-trip-5-essential-steps-5730

  • Oh how wonderful. Museums and botanical gardens are great places to be alone. You can sit and relax with beautiful outlooks and read your book. Also recommend libraries.

  • Sounds lovely ! Have you been at Leura ? It’s a lovely village in the Blue mountain area

  • It depends on your personal preferences – do you prefer beach or mountains, etc? Some ideas might be the Blue Mountains, Byron Bay (although not sure how relaxing it is these days, I haven’t been there in years), Hunter Valley, Jervis Bay, Kangaroo Valley

  • My absolute favourite NSW haven is Nelson Bay. The most beautiful little beach town we stumbled upon on a road trip from QLD. So many cute places to eat, and lovely places to stay. Our b&b had a private spa in our enclosed patio. Heaven.

  • Oh that sounds like a great holiday.. I would pick somewhere near the beach – Merimbula, Pambula or Eden are all nice.

  • Depends on where you are. For me, in Victoria, I would go Otways, bright, Marysville etc. Somewhere secluded surrounded by bush or forest with a lovely view where you can sit out on a balcony and read

  • Just be you. Choose books you want to read. Drink copious amounts of tea and coffee (or wine) enjoy the peace and queit. Journal. Bush walk. Learn a new skill.

  • That sounds like a perfect getaway. I would want somewhere near the coast – Merimbula area would be my suggestion.

  • I think 3-4 days would be the perfect amount of time – stock up on food and drinks you like and bring looks of books to read

  • Hmm that sounds nice…maybe look at some bush reatrets

  • It sounds like you know how you want to spend your time already! It sounds like a quiet country or coastal town might be your best bet.

  • If you can’t find somewhere, book yourself into a hotel in your town and splurge all weekend.

  • Depending on what helps you relax, i would look at the following
South Coast – Gerroa, Kiama, shellharbour
    Blue Mountains
    Hawkes Nest
    South West Rocks
    Kingscliff

You can relax, enjoy the scenery and read/relax

  • Also, check out travel sites for deals. There seem to be a lot on offer at the present time.

  • Search the internet for adult retreats and you should find quiet paces for rest and relaxation.

  • Good on you !
What about a lovely spa in the Blue Mountains area ?

  • Not sure where but that’s an excellent idea. We can all benefit from some Alone time

  • I personally would would stay at the coast. Forster is really nice. Or Hawks nest. You can go for beach walks. Read your books and relax.

  • It might be a little cold but the Blue Mountains are gorgeous this time of year and have many little cafes along the street
