Hello!

Looking for suggestions on how to stop our 15 month old hitting and pulling hair. He’s not doing it to be vindictive, he’s doing it as a game, but he’s surprisingly strong so having my hair pulled or being hit in the face with a toy hammer can really hurt. I’ve tried the No!, removing the toy, time out (in the play pen), walking away, holding/covering his hand with mine but he just thinks its funny and laughs. As far as I know it hasn’t happened at daycare but I’d like to nip this in the bud before he hurts another child even if its not intentionally. Thank you.

  • This could be quite a helpful link;

  • My 14 month old does the same. She thinks it’s funny. I tell her no and show that I’m upset, but she usually just gives me a kiss and then does it again!

  • Time out or do it back to him,m

  • Tell him it hurt you and it makes you sad. He needs to understand it’s not nice
