Every child is different. My first talked heaps by 15 months (50 words in two languages), the second about 5 words in one language.

My DD didn’t say much at all. She could say just few words. All kids are different one from another, so don’t worry.

Child 1 – lots of words, putting words together in to two word sentences. Learned new words quickly
Child 2 – very few words and those said were not always clear or precise
Child 3 – a mix of the two. Babbles a lot but not a huge amount of words, does have more clarity then #2 did at the same age

My girl had a few words by 15 months but it was really at that stage that her learning and speaking exploded. She’s 20 months now and has quite a lot of words but hasn’t learnt to string them together yet.

My son is 15 months old, he says mum, dad, sissy and when we say words to him he will try to repeat them. He understands when we tell.him to pick something up or sit etc.

Mine was not speaking well until 2 year-old. Now, she is 3 and speaks perfectly.

my girls were pretty good talkers at this age and my boy just had his little set of words that he liked to practise over and over. just talk to your child and encourage it but be warned- they will talk your ear off soon enough. i love how they pronounce things though- so cute.
my son would and still does say “b” for boobie lol

My daughter was almost speaking full sentences at 15 months, but has always been quite advanced for her age in the vocabulary and speech department. She has just turned 3 and speaking to her, you would think she was 5 or 6 based on the sophistication of her language.

One of mine did ok, the other didn’t really speak until he was about 3 years old and hasn’t stopped since. (now in prep and top of the class). This had a little to do with his brother always talking for him. But don’t stress they are all different.

I had 2 girls and both were speaking well for their age.
They were real little chatterboxes.
They are both in their teens now and nothing has changed.
The tricky bit is getting them to be quiet now.LOL.

My daughter would talk but not very well compared to another girl born on the same day. She is almost 3 & we have only just found out she is tongue tied the other month when we took her to the doc for croup. He said if it hasn’t fixed it’s self by the time she’s 4 then to bring her back as it can affect her speech. Others have said the dentist will do it until a certain age, then a doctor has to do it.

My daughter is a chatterbox. She is saying lots and lots of words. Although she was slow in other areas (she only just started walking). They are all different and develop at different stages.

My daughter is nearly 15 mths doesn’t say much. But uses hand signals. E.g shakes and nods head for yes and no does sign for finishes, points to mouth to say hungry or teeth hurting. Taps carers chest for milk ( that came from breastfeeding lol). Says dad mum and tries to say her sister name gaby that comes out dab

My girl started talking almost full sentences by the time she was 15 months… she is 3.5 yrs now and a chatter box.

I cannot answer this but am just as eager to hear what others have to say!

My daughter started to speak very late compared to other children her age. But she was hearing four different languages every day and I think that that’s why she was so delayed.

All children are uniquely, adorably, different in their age/stage development and depending who they have most contact with. My first child spoke rather well at 15 months, my second was speech delayed because older sister talked for her I had her checked as I was concerned that at age two she never had much clear speech. Our GP said wait until big sister starts school then she will have to speak for herself…and she did and has never shut up since! Have your child checked, there may be some reason or not and at least you will have peace of mind.

Every child is different, I have 4, Both my girls were speaking sentances at 12 months, my boys on the other hand were both slow talkers, my son talked gibberish mostly up until he was nearly 4, was worried about him but now he literally never stops talking, my youngest who is now 2 and a half (turned 2 in june) He doesn’t say many words un promted, he says mum, wait, drink, hungry, and a few other, but will copy a lot of words after you say them, but about 6 months ago the only word he would say was mum and would cry or scream or laugh, no other words or sounds.
