I love the idea of individual cup cakes made into a cake design – they are really great for a party, as there is no cutting and they look cool too, when different colour icing is used. Enjoy the party!

It will depend on what things he is into.
Sports theme are pretty easy. Balls, bats or racquets.
Computer consoles are fun too.

If he likes chocolate, I’d try this recipe, because it’s easy, moist, delicious, and he’d never know there’s beetroot in it.

I would do a castle cake!

I made my teen son a Malteaser cake – choc mud with Malteasers all over it as they are his favourite. A pinata cake is always popular with tweens/teens too.

I was thinking a skateboard cake would be pretty awesome for that age.

A lot of the kids like rainbow cakes now -you could do one like that with favourite football team colours inside.

You could do a monster cake with a grass wilton tip pretty easy and add some googley eyes from styro ball and wire 🙂
