If you child has had gastro how long should you keep them home?

I would say 48hrs too, as long as they feel good and everything is back to normal

It’s important to stay home, away from work, school or childcare, until 48 hours after the last episode of vomiting or diarrhoea.

At least a minimum of 48 hours After symptoms have stopped. I go 3-4 days to be safe.

Absolutely, and that is 48 hours after the gastro stops, not from when it starts.

I wouldn’t send a child back to school until they feel well enough and are back to eating regular food.

Usually when the vomiting and diarrhoea are under control and they’re back to normal eating. I usually send a change of clothes just in case
