Hello!

My partner wont get up in the night to the baby. I see that as deserving to have a little sleep in, nothing extravagant but 8am would be nice. He complains that he works 5 days a week and deserves to sleep in til whenever he wants, but also doesnt want to get up during the night. I’d love to know how it works in your house?

  • My husband has hearing loss in both ears – and is also a man so can just sleep through anything! – so i get up most of the time. But there are times when i refuse and just wait for him to wake up and then he’ll go do it. Maybe you need to go away for a weekend and let him deal with the kids and just see how hard it is. Much harder than working 5 days a week!

  • I breast fed so I did all night feeds. Hubby sat up later then me though, so when bub woke, he would get them up and change their nappy then bring them into me for feeding. Then he burped them and put them back to sleep and went to bed himself.

  • Men are such whingers. I did ALL night feeds and night wakings for 18 months, so yeas I believe that I am entitled to a sleep in – even if that is only 7am! :)
