Hello!

Remember the dad that had his daughters teachers sign her favourite book every year? A friend of mine is considering doing the same thing for boys. It is a great idea and I might do something along those lines too. Does anyone have any other ideas? Scrapbook, photo timeline? I am not very crafty at all so any suggestions would be great! TIA.

  • Maybe not so much a favorite book, as one that might be a souvenier when they’re graduation age – maybe a “yearbook” from the year they were born.

  • A scrap book is a lovely idea and include photos of your child with their friends over the years too.

  • I have a clear file that I put a couple off special things in each year

  • I’m just collecting special things from each year and storing them.

  • That’s a good point. Thanks. I hadn’t thought of the long-term storage situation…

  • I don’t have an answer but remember you’ll need to store the keepsake for a long time so keep it small. Maybe a photo of your child with a descriptive text written on the back from her teacher or a quote/advice from a famous/successful person in history?
