As long as supervised it should be ok for short periods. Babies shouldn’t sleep in a curled up position for long tho – they need to be flat (just like capsules – they need a break every few hours)
I don’t think an hour or 2 would hurt. BABIES ARE SORT OF FLAT ON THEIR BACKS in a bouncer as well as in a semi sitting position. Supervision would be mandatory the whole time.
As long as it’s only sometimes and doesn’t become a regular habit. And as long as you keep checking on him, don’t leave him for extended periods without making sure he’s ok. I don’t see it being a problem. It’s obviously comfortable….
Kidspot did an article recently – a child died in a bouncer. It is not recommended. Check the sids website also – they should be flat on their backs when sleeping. Even the capsule for the car, I was advised not to leave them in there for more than 4 hrs at a time
It is not recommended. I would suggest moving him- it will be better for you in the long run if you can settle the baby after transfer. They will not always be able to sleep in the bouncer
The back supports in them are very firm. He is probably as safe in it as a bassinet or cot.
In fact it is ideal if he has reflux. It will help to relieve it and he is also less likely to choke on his own vomit.
As long as you feel he is secure in there and you keep an eye on him (not every single second) he will be fine. A sleep is a sleep no matter where they get it.
