Why did you cut them off in the first place? Make sure it is healthy for you to re-engage with them.

I suppose firstly you have to work out who you want back in your life and who you’re happy to live without. For those you want back in your life, a phone call is probably the best way to go and maybe apologising for your behaviour and asking whether a rekindling of the relationship is possible. Best of luck to you.

Start slowly, maybe send them all a christmas card telling them how much you miss the old times… Remind them of your Fav memory of the past and tell them how much you would love to catch up for a coffee. If needed just tell them you needed time out to sort thing out for yourself.

I would send invitation cards and cook a nice dinner or whatever and make it like a reunion event.

if they were that horrible, then youre probably better off without them. maybe if your lonely or want some friends around, you could look at doing playgroup etc to meet new people. remember, you cant choose your family, but, you can choose whether you have something to do with them or not!

Gosh, never done that on purpose – sometimes this happens through circumstance and in this case, a phone call and catch up works very well. Maybe try that?
