  • Another thing we do in addition to my comments below is clean up any pollen. There seems to be a heavy dusting of it on cars and outdoor furniture and anything else pollen can spread over at the moment. We are also careful about when we open the windows and doors of the house to provide it with plenty of fresh air. Keeping an eye on the pollen count is a very good idea.

  • Just finding this out for the first time, it seems my toddler might already be showing signs of hay fever and spring allergies. His nose has been running a lot and he’s been sneezing. For the time being I’ll be dusting and wiping down surfaces as much as possible and looking into air purifiers. He’s too little for me to comfortably give medication to

  • We have found running an air purifier and keeping the doors and windows closed has actually really helped at home. School has just gone back so I’m interested to see how they go spending so much time outside, we use Zyrtec if needed but prefer to try just using nasal rinses first

  • The time of the year when allergies cause issues is well and truly here and we follow the management guidelines set out by our GP. We use a combination of preventative techniques and also use various products and strategies to mange the symptoms. We do try to be wise about when we are outside and out and about in nature.

  • I also find kids zertec the best but encourage all allergy sufferers to invest in good quality air filters in the home. Mum especially has bad allergies and this has made a big difference. I don’t consider myself someone who gets allergies but notice my nose is much clearer to breath through when I’m at her house!

  • OMG tell me about it, my daughter is suffering really badly this spring and so am I. I have been giving my daughter Zertec every morning to help ease the itchiness. We also have some steroid cream from the dermatologist that i put on areas that are particularly itchy. If it is really windy outside, i tend to keep her indoors as this can really affect her hayfever as well.

  • Whenever I notice my child has hayfever I give him kids Zyrtec, i find it’s fast acting and gives him relief. Flavour is not bad too so he doesn’t mind it all. I don’t give it always it just depends on if it’s bothering him or not. Just use your judgment if it’s necessary or not.
