I often go the opposite way of fads because they just do not appeal to me. It is interesting to see toy fads end up in charity stores. Over the years some items and products that people lined up for hours to purchase appeared in these stores in the bargain bins.

Dubai chocolate is having such a moment, but I’ve seen some that aren’t really that impressive. I had a Dubai chocolate inspired soft serve that was lovely. I haven’t really seen a lot of other big food fads right now. I feel like donuts and cookies are always going in and out of being in, with new flavour combinations popping up.

I’m looking forward to reading the replies here as I seem to be behind the times of late . I see things like Bubble Tea and just wonder what the heck it is and get even more confused when I look at the menu and have no idea how to order.

I wasn’t sure what a fad is and had to google it ! The term fad is not only related to food is it ? We are not really people who are trend followers or who follow that what is popular. Where do you get introduced to these fads anyway ?

We are not avid followers of fads but it is interesting to watch them come and go and some do stay. We did get served a brownie with the Dubai chocolate. It was a delicious brownie and it was the only one available to order and we wanted a brownie. The chocolate was rich and delicious to taste.
