Bit late now but you could have kept the original boxes to put the pieces back in

We use a lego table with storage underneath which is really handy – but we also try and keep the really good sets in their boxes so theyre easier to rebuild in the future. The boxes are just stacked at the top of his wardrobe

Plastic tubs with labels should work

A pile of blocks is great for creative building where their imagination can just run wild.
If you want to keep each set intact I’d suggest looking g somewhere like officeworks, spotlight or your local discount store for some small, stackable plastic storage containers that will fit the pieces and instructions for each set.

I suggest a cube cupboard with plastic tubs to fit. You can get various sizes that stack on top of each other & for the smaller sets, zip-lock bags in a tub works well. By the sounds of it, you will have weeks of sorting activities lined up to help past the time if they are all mixed together

Oh dear, if you’ve already mixed the sets up, I dont think there can be easy builds in the future

I highly recommend lots of the plastic storage tubs in smaller sizes- sort each set in a tub with the instructions. Teaching him to put it away neatly is the hard part though!

My boys has loads of Lego (and continue to get it at 19!) We have always had the Lego sit on a large sheet or blanket and when putting it away we grab the corners and sit in a large storage tub. This allows you spread the Lego out on the floor but pack it up quickly as well.

Depending on your child’s age…..Small drawers are great for Lego. That way he can keep them separate if he wishes.

love the drawstring mat. Also under bed (low lying) tubs with lids and rollers are handy, especially the ones that have some compartments so a little bit of the Lego can be organised and easily accessible,

Each one have its own bag or a drawer like system to seperate the colours

I used to put it all back in the box it came from with the instructions. Can then be rebuilt easily or even sold.

My son keeps his built and we have them on floating shelves. Would be hard I think to store lego in pieces. MAYBE a big storage tub.

I was lucky to have a dear neighbor design & make a lego table (a large recessed rectangular box in the middle) for my boys when they were young & sliding panel to cover the lego when not in use! He also made the kids chairs around it that was used for mealtime also.

I tried various kinds of storage that kept sets together, but the kids just wouldn’t engage – so we just use giant 10L bins (yes, plural).

We have a couple of large storage tubs lined with a sheet which always you to take the lego out and spread it on the floor.

We bought one large container from bunnings that can be wheeled around. We tried to keep sets together, but with two heavy handed lads, and a grabby toddler it wasn’t working. All in one box… drives me nuts but the kids dont mine and its all in one place!
