Can you remodel your existing home? We added a room – which was ridiculously expensive, but a lot cheaper than moving. And now the house is pretty good for us. Other friends removed a wall or two, and that made a massive difference to their home.

Have you thought about renting out your existing home and turn it into an investment property . Then you can buy a newer property for yourself to live in .

maybe look at renovations or look around at what else there is. it may not be as much of a loss – perhaps you could rent out your existing house as an investment and buy a bigger property.

Kids will grow and leave; maybe find creative ways to live in your space.

I have not been in this situation. Would the kids have to change schools? That’s something I struggled with as a kid and making new friends.
