I choose lipstick and eye colours myself, but I do get help from sales staff when it comes to foundations and some primers etc.

I do a bit of both. I had a make up artist (who I buy my foundation from) help me with selecting my base colour, however for eyeshadow, lip colour ect I choose my own as I know what works for me.

i just experiment. it is nice to get advice if you are not sure and besides, that is those ladies job, to help you find things that suit you

I prefer my own judgement to be honest.
I know what I am comfortable with & what makes me feel like I look my best.
I find most of the time the sales person will direct me to the most expensive section & I walk away with an armful of products I know I’m never going to use!
If you’re really unsure take a friend who’s opinion you trust but really you know yourself.
