My GP provides an asthma management plan. I would have thought most GP’s would provide this to patients.

I would suggest talking to your gp about this. If it’s only mild asthma, there’s probably not a lot you need to do

I suffer mild asthma & find it doesn’t really affect me day to day.
I also have an inhaler which I carry with me at all times but find my asthma really only gives me grief if I am running or in a smoky area.
Speak with your GP about the severity of your asthma & work out a asthma planner, it does come in handy!
Educate your loved ones on asthma so they are also aware & can be of assistance to you IF an emergency were to occur.
Keep track of your triggers, you will know what to avoid.
Print off or collect as many information booklets as you can and read through them, most chemists will be able to provide you with these.

I am quite passionate about this… I would truly seek more than GP advice on this, as there is so much mistreatment. They have a great website here in Aus. Get on and take a look, and if needed, seek a referral. All the best over Spring x

there are certain foods that aparently have been proven to bring on asthma ask your doc about it 🙂 al the best! x

A friend of mine has it and I guess a lot of it is about prevention, invest in a good wet and dry vacuum or stem cleaner and also educate those around you in case of an emergency

My husband had the preventative and found that really useful. There may also be a support group which could help you with different ideas.

Definitely take the time I do an asthma plan with your family doctor.

your doctor should provide you with an asthma plan. what to do in an attack but also what can help in terms of your triggers. not everyones triggers are the same.

Carry your puffer around where ever you go, but just be normal, do everyday normal things and you will be fine

Make sure you always carry your puffer and organise a asthma management plan with your doctor/ health professionals

Make sure you use your preventative regularly and always have your reliever with you.
