Hello!

I have grade 6 who is struggling with math and love some ideas to assist her in this to help her improve her math skills and understanding.

  • Other parents in your network might also have contacts.

  • A first point would be to ask the teacher for support and ideas.

  • There are many online tutors these days, it’s a good option. Is there an older sibling who could help? Or a cousin? Aunt or Uncle? Talking to the teachers is a must, maybe there’s a student who is great at math that she can pair up with in class, or that could be a study buddy after school. Good luck with finding the solution that works for everyone.

  • I’d be asking the teacher how you can best help. They know where your child is struggling and I am sure could assist. Maybe they could even supply the extra work for you.

  • Have you talked to the teachers? They might have an idea.

  • Great idea

  • Consider a tutor – maybe a teacher on maternity leave, a student studying teaching, etc.
