  • For prevention: Sudocrem has always been a reliable go-to for us. I’ve also tried a more natural option, the Pigeon Natural Botanical Baby Diaper Cream and it worked well too! Above all, keeping baby’s skin dry is key, so change baby’s nappies regularly and always change promptly after they poop to prevent irritation and infection.

  • To prevent: Sudocrem for overnight nappies. Change each wake up and change asap when wet or dirty during the day.
At first signs: Slather Sudocrem. We actually have a mini ‘cake scrapper’ for application that doesnt result in me needing to scrub my nails for 10min.
If nappy rash does develop: our GP gave us a prescription for Hydrocortisone and we apply sudocrem over it.

  • Mustela nappy cream is heaven sent it clear bubz up in hours and works a treat. Is my go to now when he gets nappy rash especially now that his teething and on solids and has 4-6 pooie nappies. Try it belive me you won’t regret it. I’ve tried 5 or 6 different types and this one is only one seem to work fast

  • Sudocrem works wonders! Buy the really big tub when it’s on special. The white cream impressively gets rid of nappy rash and bottom pimples.
The baby poo smell vanishes with a lavender pleasant scent that babies don’t mind.
No need for the dreaded baby talcum powder. That stuff is a nightmare. Very stressfully messy.

  • My kids never experienced the dreaded nappy rash. My advice to prevent it from happening is frequent nappy changes. As soon as they’re soiled – they get changed so it’s not sitting in contact with their skin. Allow the skin to breathe inbetween changes too to air out which i found helpful. Good luck!

  • For me it’s always been bepanthen. It’s the one thing that worked quickly and easily on nappy rash. I tried lots of alternatives but always went back to bepanthen in the end if my kids got nappy rash. Lots of nappy free time and a good barrier cream after rhe bath is a great preventative but bepanthen is my go to if they starts to get red or sore.

  • I agree Sudocreme is the best, and works well too. Also they say to try to change the nappy as soon as its soiled to avoid nappy rash and try to keep the bum nice and clean helps too. There is also cetaphil baby daily lotion which smells nice and we apply it on after changing the nappy.

  • The best thing that I have ever found to treat nappy rash is paw paw cream/ ointment. It clears any rash straight up. I still have it and use it on myself. You don’t need to use a lot and it lasts for a long time and considering my son is 9 now, it doesn’t go off either!

  • I think the best way and the cheapest way to prevent and treat nappy rash is get that nappy off and give your baby regularly naked time. Another good one to prevent nappy rash is change the nappy more often. Also the baby skin is very tender, so be very gentle with washing. You can add baking soda in the bath. I used to apply Sudacrem/Zinc, Vaseline or Bepanthen

  • I feel we really needed to try multiple creams/balms before finding the one!

  • For me, what worked on my two kids is not leaving them in soiled nappies too long. I definitely changed as soon as they were wet and let their skin air dry before placing a new nappy on. I would rather go through more nappies than have to deal with the uncomfortable rash they would feel

  • I always used a coating of petroleum jelly after a nappy change. You don’t need much, it is not expensive and it softens the skin too. It always worked for us. There are many other newer products out there buy I always tend to go for the tried and tested ones.

  • Your case is compelling, and I couldn’t have stated it better myself. I agree with you on this issue; it’s time we took it seriously

  • Sudo cream is your best friend, also try a different brand of nappies ad your child might be reacting to something in the nappy. Also if possible allow your child some time without a nappy to help let the skin breathe. I used a lot of sudo cream, it is brilliant and worth every penny it costs.

  • Change their nappy every 2 hours. Sudocrem if a rash appears, and give them some nappy off time on a baby blanket. Try keeping them cool, my little guy gets rashy if he’s sweaty and hot for too long. Baby powder if you can’t get out of the heat has worked for us
