Hello!

How long did it take to find the right tablet, patch or gel before you found one that works well for you? I can’t seem to find one that works for me

  • I am another one that had no issues so didnt use anything to treat it.
I take it you are seeing a Doctor in regards to this.
If you are seeing a male Doc and he does not seem to be taking you seriously then swith to a female Doctor and see if that helps

  • I never used something to treat premenopause or menopause

  • Maybe you should talk to your gp.

  • I just went with whatever was thrown at me and dealt with it. Not really into taking tablets etc. Hasn’t been a real issue though. But on saying this everyone is different so don’t always go by someone else’s journey.

  • I am very wary about messing with hormones. I know the menopause experience is different for everyone but I am not planning on seeking treatment unless I really have to. When the time comes, if there are issues, I plan to google natural things that can help particular problems. I am especially concerned about the link between hormones and autoimmune disease (including inflammatory arthritis) and the statistics that show many women do get flares or disease onset based on hormone changes. While hormones might be the answer to treat autoimmunity in some cases I don’t think enough is known yet. Until ‘they’ know more I am going to trust nature to get things right. And know this is something I would need to investigate a lot more should I ever consider treatments.

  • I wasn’t real keen on script medication and was hoping to find something natural. I was put onto Sage, and wow, the difference it made. I bought sage capsules for some time from health shops. Ended up buying a little set up to make my own capsules for a fraction of the cost. I don’t have to take them all the time, but keep them on hand. I hope that you do find something that suits you.

  • Sorry, but everyone is different and what works for one will not necessarily work for another. A good doctor is the best thing you have.

  • These are great tips for me to have when the time comes. Thanks for asking!

  • I didn’t bother, just decided to go with it, suck it up and ride it out

  • I think its different for everyone. Best to check with your pharmacist or doctor for the right advice

  • I found clary sage (or Clary Calm from doTERRA) essential oil was great for me. and also helped my granddaughter with period pain etc.
Everyone is different so I think it’s trial and error unfortunately

  • You need to make sure you find a Doctor that listens. I think finding the right Doctor was harder than finding the correct medication.

  • I had no idea there were things you could take! This has really opened my eyes

  • I didn’t use anything at all. Maybe you need to target specific symptoms rather than look for one tablet?

  • i am thinking am going through this at the moment so will be interested in the answers.

  • Following this as I’ll be premenopausal soon. There really needs to be more info out there

  • I have not been through this experience but there might be some online groups or forums specifically about this? Might be worth a search? Good luck!

  • Following along for tips and advice.

  • Best to seek help and support from your GP or Women’s Health Service.

  • I think I’m still a work in progress. I tried Happy Hormones (the natural way) first, with no luck. Peri was debilitating so I ended up with a female Dr who prescribed the gel and tablet. It worked. I feel a little bit like those hot flushes are worming there way back in, but nothing like I had.
