Primary school recommendations in the Port Stephens area?

Hello!

I was wondering if you could ask the mums about primary schools in the port Stephens area. We aren’t from the are but are moving there in 6 months time. Also if there are any schools to avoid?

I’d avoid any in the raymond terrace region if you can.

If your a RAAF family, seek out some of the facebook buddies groups and ask in there. Most of the DHA houses are in Medowie, Raymond Terrace and Thornton (but not limited to those areas)

Shoal bay and soldiers point probably have the best reputations if you are looking at public schools.

If you are a RAAF family, look for Facebook buddies groups in the areas your looking at moving too ie a lot of dha houses are in medowie, Raymond terrace and Thornton. If your unsure, send me a pm and I’ll point you in the right direction 🙂

There is also St Michaels which is part of the Catholic Education system and has K-6, and St Philip’s Christian College, a pre K-12 Non Denominational Christian School.

The public primary schools are heavily used and will only accept enrolments from within their designated boundaries. There is Shoal Bay Public School, Tomaree Public School, Soldiers Point Public School, Anna Bay Public School, and Bobs Farm Public School.
