I have a grandson who’s fussy and only allowed natural foods so it’s hard. But I found Aldi has some great options. Gyozas, are great and simple, you just steam them. Cesiladas, 2 in a pack add some salads and your set. Also, Spanopikita, it’s a rough of puff pastry which you can get gluten free with spinach and feta cheese inside. It’s fairly big and could feed the whole family but at a great price. Aldi has some really different foods to try and if I was you I’d try them.
My kids were always happy with zucchini pancakes, small broccoli pies, boiled eggs, cheese strips, popcorn, spring rolls, homemade ice blocks from banana & coconut cream & raw chocolate powder or fresh fruit ice blocks
Finger foods are always easy to make and always satisfying for hungry tummies. Our go to is mini quiches; easy to add a variety of fillings to mini quiches and to cook and store and eat. We also love mini sweet and savoury pastries; also easy to make and store.
I find mince recipes are great. Tasty, quick and you can grate and dice veggies to hide them from fussy eaters. Including sausage rolls, rissoles, meatballs.
Look up puff pastry tomato tart. You can saute mushrooms and put underneath. Or add pumpkin, spinach. Any veggies and cheeses.
Pita pockets with salad and what ever protein you have available. Cooked chicken, ham, fish fingers.
Or use the pita for mini pizzas.
My go to healthy snack is crudite with a fave dip or dressing. A few pieces of cheese if I please.
Hummus and veggie sticks – carrots, cucumber, celery, etc
Greek Yoghurt parfait – layer yoghurt with some muesli, honey, fresh berries, etc.
Turkey and cheese roll ups – roll slices of turkey with some cheese for a protein packed snack
Apple slices with sunflower seed butter for a nut-free alternative
Veggie Quesadillas – whole-grain tortillas with cheese and finely chopped veggies
Fruit kebabs – skewer chunks of melon, berries, grapes etc
Cottage cheese with pineapple – mix cheese and pineapple for a sweet and savoury snack
Whole grain crackers with cheese
Edamame – my kids love this, steam edamame
Mini pita pockets with veggies – my fussy eater will have cucumber, cherry tomatoes and hummus.
Baked Sweet potato fries -slice sweet potatoes into fries, toss with olive oil and bake until crispy
Quinoa Salad Cups – Mix cooked quinoa with diced veggies and a light vinaigrette and serve in small cups
Yoghurt smoothies – blend yoghurt with frozen fruits
Hard Boiled Eggs
Cucumber Sushi Rolls – roll cucumber strips with cream cheese and turkey
Oatmeal with berries
Whole grain bagels with cream cheese
Good luck, it’s really trial and error with my picky eaters, I try to gradually introduce new foods and textures to expand their palate, and some days they are a lot pickier than others.
