Hello!

I was wondering if anyone knew how to get a blood stain out of sheets as my son seems to have blood noses overnight? I have previously soaked them but they are not shifting. Thank you

  • I didn’t think blood washed out but now l know due the answers! Thanks! Handy to know!

  • blood is a cold water stain, it will remove it easier. that failing, the sun is good to reduce presence, napisan

  • I make a paste using bicarb and vinegar, put it on for a couple of hours then wash with 1/2 cup of vinegar 🙂 works every time for me.

  • soak in cold water overnight, you can also try a pre wash spray. a paste of bicarb and lemon could also help

  • only ever cold water and not hot works for us

  • I will have to remember about the lemon juice

  • Yup, no hot water. It cooks the stain. I use lemon juice…fresh from the tree. And it seems to work on fresh blood

  • Soaking in cold water with napisan.

  • there are some good comments here

  • wet, rub a little napisan into the stain and soak in cold water

  • Some good advice there below.

  • always soak in cold water and sun. hot water sets stains!

  • plain cold water and leave it to soak

  • Get a bucket of water and add some oxy action soaker. soak for at least 2 days. I spray patch with stain remover first too.

  • Into cold water as soon as you can!

  • I’m going to try what MARJE KAMENEV suggested next time I come across this problem!

  • these are some good ideas 🙂

  • Thanks for all the answers, I wanted to know too!

  • Soak blood stained sheet in cold water and lots of salt overnight and then wash it with your usual laundry powder. Always worked for me

  • google “Shannon Lush” … she always has the answers
