Hello!

We have two dogs that are inside at night and I just seem to end up with loads of stains and dog hair through the couch. If they go in the car it ends up through there as well. I have tried vacuums for the car and disinfectant on couch. Just wanting to know what else I could use. Thanks

  • Lint brush is a good option 🙂

  • Do you put a blanket on the lounge before the dogs get on it? Try sticky tape

  • The schticky is great and cheap option too.

  • I would suggest using a sticky, you can buy the set a big w and they have all different attachments for different areas.

  • Baby wipes or rubber washing up gloves to remove hair from car seats

  • You can use Dyson DC25 Animals or pets hair roller. Hope it can help you.

  • Vacuum the dogs.. works for my aunt!

  • For the dog hair…i use the sticky rolling wands from the supermarket. once the roller is full nd sticky no more u just tear off the top one nd it reveals another underneath nd off u go again. i bought the essentials brand from woolies with refills nd its lasted ages as it very good. i did try the gel type where u had to wash it once it was full but then u have to wait for it to completely dry before using it again. the throw away strips are much better.

  • those sticky rolls help

  • there are also some special vacuum heads that help with this also

  • We have an indoor dog, he makes his bed on any chair, couch or bed he takes a fancy to so I have covers on all of his favourite places, he gets a shower once a week and so do all of the covers. I also use those sticky lint rollers for the in between times – same as the car and vacuum often. We also invested in a Bissell deep cleaner, however there’s no perfect solution but every little thing you can do helps.

  • I’ve got a Pomeranian/Chihuahua who loves to curl up on the lounge next to me, adores rides in the car, and is at home on our bed. I got fed up very quickly with the fine hair and fur that the dog left everywhere, and now he has a blanket for the lounge, the bed and the car. Much much easier to clean one small blanket rather than dragging the vacuum cleaner out all the time. One of those mitts that you can get that look like a glove and are used for grooming dogs, is brilliant for getting rid of hair on the dog and the lounge too.

  • How about brushing them outside before they come inside for the night? Might eliminate some of the loose hairs. Have a special blanket just for the dogs to use on the couch.

  • For the sofa i would use a lint brush then maybe buy a large throw to go over it over the night time when the dogs are inside.
For the car i think your just going to have to keep going with the vacuum and get some vacuum powder that should take the smell away.

  • a vacuum with a power head is really good for getting the hair off the floor and one of the spot clean type carpet shampoo gadgets are great for getting the stains out of the couch (you can also buy pet specific cleaner for some of them)

  • buy a sticky lint brush and use this,
