Everybody gets so very tired by the end of the year and want and need some down time; both, children and adults. We have always been vigilant about allowing plenty of downtime and rest time to recover. Children and adults often then pick up and have an interest in things and other people when they have rested and recovered.

Maybe she’s just tired. Most kids are by the end of the school year, and then you get clobbered by Christmas just a few days later. It’s quite possible she just really needs some down time. I don’t think I’d worry too much. My daughter was very like this in her first couple of years at school, and then she got a lot more active in school holidays.
