Hello!

Has anyone had the implanon removed and had any side affects at all? I am not sure whether I could possibly be pregnant or if it’s just the effects of having mine removed… I have had sore boobs, cramps, feeling nauseas and been feeling bloated. It’s only been 2 weeks and feel like its too early to be pregnant or get signs? What are some side effects of implanon removal and how long until you can get an accurate result on a pregnancy test if these symptoms don’t go away?

  • You can always use an early detection test now. Remeber, fasle positives are impossible, but false negatives happen.
But you can get sude effects from coming off hormones.

  • Good warning for those of us using it- thanks

  • Accurate results on a pregnancy test can take anywhere between 2 and 6 weeks. I have had no side effects since having it out.

  • I would guess it’s most likely hormonal and would settle in time.

  • I think you would find it is just hormonal, if you don’t get a proper period and symptom persist then I would take a test then

  • I thought I was pregnant for a month after having it removed. It was just my body readjusting to the hormones again. If in doubt take a pregnancy test to be sure

  • I have read articles about ladies who have fallen pregnant at the time of implanon removal so anything is possible. Your hormones will be returning to normal so it could also just be that. If it was me I would be doing a home test or two or speaking to the doc. Good luck

  • Did you find out if it was the implanon?

  • how did it go? 🙂

  • How are you going now?

  • How did it all work out?

  • Do test to make sure

  • If you really want to find out do a blood preg test.

  • How did you go with the symptoms?

  • I would suggest talking to your GP.

  • Go see your doctor, it could be just the side effects, but still a chance you could be pregnant.

  • Never uses implanon so was interested to read up on this and find out more about something I don’t know anything about! Hope everything is better for you now

  • I had the implanon removed only side effect was the scaring, I did fall pregnant after 2 cycles, I think you can test straight away but no 100% on that maybe ask for a blood test or your dr

  • One of the good side effects that I had was I stopped bleeding when the implanon came out

  • The only sight effect I had was I lost a heap of weight 🙂

Check with your local nurse at your gps
