  • If you are not getting the answers you need from this Doctor or relief from the suggested medications then I definitely would ask for a referral. It can’t hurt. We too often let things go because it’s embarrassing asking the same thing again and again. Otherwise at least another Doctor.

  • Sinus rinses are amazing but it might also be worth while seeing and ENT as they maybe able to do something about this for you as it sounds like it is causing you a lot of discomfort. I suffer from sinus issues every year but it isn’t as bad as what you have been saying. Good luck

  • Also worth mentioning the sinus rinses! I’m not sure if you’ve tried them before but they work wonders! I was a bit hesitant at first but now I can’t live without it! It gives a nice warm flush of your sinuses! I breathe so much better after using it. I was given a steroid (pulmicort) to add to mine to help open my sinuses! Good luck with it

  • Definitely go and see an ent! I’ve been to see an ent and they advised me to get a scan done before coming. Do speak with your Dr about that when you get a referral! I put up with sinus issues for years and then the ent found damage from an old forgotten injury!

  • Another thing I do for my sinus issues is take care of sleep hygiene. The bedroom is set up for good sleep hygiene; it is worth looking into in and to see what works. I sleep with my head elevated and it helps me and alleviates the pressure caused by sinus.

  • Oh im so sorry to hear. It must be so frustrating not getting the answers you need to help fix the problem. I would definitely push for your GP to refer you to ENT as that is what they’re specialised for and can hopefully give you more than just a bandaid fix

  • I have a regime from my GP that also includes using a flush which helps me. Maybe discuss all alternatives with your GP. My issues with sinus are always present and it is finding ways that work for me to alleviate the symptoms. If concerned about any medical issue; I discuss with my GP. A discussion is always worth having about possible investigations and treatments.
