Ive been steam moping for years now and i would never go back to a mop. Especially if u have light tiles the steam gets all the old grime out

I never had any luck with our steam mop. I liked the theory of how it cleaned but was always disappointed in the results. It was a pain dragging the cord around, and being a large home, I’d go through all three covers or I’d leave dirty streaks behind. It also started to leave water puddles behind. I can’t remember the brand I had, but I was actually relieved when it broke and I’ve gone back to my bucket and mop.

I think they are a great idea,I don’t have one but would like to buy one.

They do leave your floor a lot cleaner without all the grime & residue. The downside I found was having to use electricity, waiting for it to heat up before use, keeping toddlers away from steam burns, and ours has a power cord so having to move it to different power points can be a pain. I usually end up reverting to my old school mop, and clean the floors with hot water & vinegar.

I think it really depends on how much you are willing to spend on a good one

I’d love one as they seem to work really well on the ads on TV, but I have floorboards and aren’t sure if it would be good long term to use steam on wood. Have others with floorboards used steam mops?

I had a cheap one that came free with my vacuum and it was terrible. I think it was just that one – and it was hopeless on my textured tiles at our entry way.

Yes they are good. But you need a good quality one.
