Hello!

I can’t find any information telling me what temperature to heat expressed breast milk – can anyone help? Also storing EBM – how long can it be in the fridge? Thanks

  • It can also be frozen in baby bottles, but I don’t remember how long you can store it for. I marked them with the date and time.

  • warm water in a cup, sit the bottle of milk in it and check for the temperature of the milk on your wrist. i used my breastmilk from the fridge the very next day so i didn’t need to know how long it lasts but i googled (ages ago) and found the recommendations online and i think vic health has a page about breastmilk storage. there is a breastfeeding hotline that you can call. i got that info in my baby book but google it.

  • When I heated my breast milk I tested by dabbing a bit on the inside of my wrist, that’s the way I found out if its too hot, too cold or just right.
