Hello!

Do you have streaming services and if so which ones? I know it’s personal choice but which do you prefer and why?
We’ve had them all at some stage, except foxtel. I think Disney would be a fave but it’s so expensive. I also like Netflix. Prime we have because of the Amazon free postage deal. I’ve heard of people sharing accounts does that work?

  • To be honest I wouldn’t even know what streaming services we are currently subcribed to as I don’t watch television myself what so ever. But I think it’s Netflix and when I’m right by twenty and twenty one year old have both their own accounts too. I’m sure we had Foxtel in the past too but not Disney

  • We have Netflix and Disney Plus. I find that Netflix probably has the best consistent selection and they are constantly getting their own exclusive movies and shows. Disney Plus is great for all the classic Disney movies and we also love Marvel so watch all those series and movies too. I recently tried Stan to watch the Outlander prequel, but wasn’t overly impressed with the offering and cancelled it after watching the one show.

  • We have Disney especially for our daughter and kids when they come to visit as it has a lot of the fave sing a long movies and you can download which comes in handy when flying and travelling. We also tend to keep them cancel and rejoin when they provide a discount offer to come back. We watch Netflix because you can download, but honestly we tend to keep the basic plan and only get it part of the year when some of the shows we watch have released a new season. We have Prime Movie as a default because we pay for an annual prime membership based on how much we purchase on Amazon. Outside of those we watch a lot on SBS, our daughter loves ABC Kids and we do watch YouTube Kids which are free but we can’t download only stream using our data. Our non negotiable though in house is Spotify premium as we’re bigger on music then tv time and limit tv to mainly weekends and barely hit more than a couple or si hours a week generally.

  • I have a few. I gratefully scab Stan off my sister and SIL, I’d be lost without my drag race. I have Hayu. My biggest guilty pleasure is all the housewives, below decks, and various other reality shows on there. I’ve had that for years and love it. And we have Netflix, they tend to have the best range of movies and documentaries. I love a good doco.

  • Foxtel comes with HBO Max so we recently got that one and it’s quite good. Netflix is the one we use most. We have Stan & Prime (through a family member). With the free ones out there like ABC Iview and 7 + etc we have lots to chose from.

  • I am sure there will come a time in life when we have free time and the desire for streaming. We prefer going out to the movies which includes going out for dinner beforehand and then watching a movie. We like to make an outing out of our consumption of movies.

  • over the past few years we have worked super hard to cancel 95% of our subscriptions services. The only service we still have is spotify for music and pod cast. We also live in an area where we have to stream tv services though the apps as we can not get free to air where we live. We do use the Google Chrome Cast to set up the tv’s so its very simple for us to stream shows from 7 plus, 10 play, and 9 now as well as ABC which is a favorite with the kids.
When we 1st started to cancel services we were able to pause them to see how we went and there was no charge as if we just cancelled then wanted to join again there would be rejoining fees, this gave us the opportunity to really see if we would miss them
