We first travelled in a plane with DD when she was 5 months old, had no problems. Check to see if your plane has the carry cots (not sure how old your baby will be when you fly though), take babies food including milk, wipes, plenty of clothes, toys etc.. During take off and landing try to feed baby or have him suck on something helps with the ear popping, try to book flights that don’t upset babies routine like night flights.
